The Power of Faith in Healing

Healing is a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith, and the Bible provides numerous examples of God's power to heal. In this sermon, we will explore the biblical basis for healing, examine the role of faith in the healing process, and provide examples of healing from the Bible. The Biblical Basis for Healing The Bible teaches that healing is a part of God's redemptive plan. In Exodus 15:26, God is described as "the Lord who heals you." In Psalm 103:2-3, we are reminded that God "heals all your diseases." Jesus' ministry was characterized by numerous healings, demonstrating God's power to restore physical and emotional wholeness (Matthew 4:23-24, Mark 1:34, Luke 4:40-41). The Role of Faith in Healing Faith plays a crucial role in the healing process. In Mark 5:34, Jesus tells a woman who had been healed of a bleeding disorder, "Your faith has healed you." Similarly, in Matthew 9:22, Jesus says to a woman who had been healed of a feve...

We are called to be People of Prayer.

As Christians, we are called to be people of prayer. Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God, and it plays a crucial role in our spiritual growth and development. In this sermon, we will explore the importance of prayer in the life of a Christian woman, and why everyone needs to pray. Why Women Need to Pray In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, the Bible says, "Pray without ceasing." This verse is not just a suggestion, but a command to all believers, including women. Prayer is a way for women to connect with God, to seek His guidance and wisdom, and to find strength and comfort in times of need. In Proverbs 31:10-31, we see a description of a virtuous woman, who is a woman of prayer. She is described as a woman who fears the Lord, who is trustworthy, and who is kind and compassionate. This woman is a model of what it means to be a Godly woman, and prayer is a key part of her life. Why Everyone Needs to Pray Prayer is not just for women, but for everyone. In Philippians 4...

Whose Report Shall We Believe? Scripture's Truth or Man's Opinions?

As Christians, we are constantly faced with the challenge of discerning truth from error. In a world where opinions and perspectives abound, it can be difficult to know whose report to believe. The Bible provides clear guidance on this matter, emphasizing the importance of trusting in God's Word above human opinions. Isaiah 53:1 - A Prophet's Warning The prophet Isaiah asks a poignant question: "Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (Isaiah 53:1). This verse highlights the tendency of humans to doubt and disbelieve God's Word. We are prone to trust in our own understanding and the opinions of others rather than the truth of Scripture. Examples of Scripture's Truth vs. Man's Opinions 1. Creation: Genesis 1:1 vs. Evolutionary Theory The Bible clearly states that God created the world and all living things (Genesis 1:1). In contrast, human opinion suggests that life evolved through natural processes. As Christians...

Revelation Lesson3

"What is the difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming?" Answer: The rapture and the second coming of Christ are often confused. Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether a scripture verse is referring to the rapture or the second coming. However, in studying end-times Bible prophecy, it is very important to differentiate between the two. The rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (all believers in Christ) from the earth. The rapture is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. This will all occur in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The second coming is when Jesus returns to defeat the Antichrist, destroy evil, and establish His millennial kingdom. The second coming is described in Revelation 19:11-16. The important differences between the rapture and second coming are as f...

Flee from Lust and Flirting!

Lust and temptation is a choice and it has various forms. Many people have destroyed their marriage, families and their reputation because of lust, adultery, flirting and extra marital affairs. Of the seven deadly sins, lust is the most shameful. Lust is a problem because it perverts godliness, corrupts our soul, our virtues and holiness. The lust of the flesh is contrary to the desire to do the will of God. Not everyone gets tempted in the world. People who are according to the flesh, who are worldly set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit of God which is Holy Spirit fix their eyes on the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is always brings death, but the mind set on the Spirit is always life and peace. Paul instructs us in Romans 13:11-14 to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh. Lust maintains power over us only when we submit to its worldly desires. God commands us to have our hearts to ha...

Did Catholic Church added 7 books to the Bible?

Did Catholic Church added 7 books to the Bible? The true church was founded by Christ which is the Holy Catholic Church. Christ entrusted the Church to Peter and not to Martin Luther to divide. Martin Luther, Calvin, Henry protested against Catholic church and brought division among the church. The protestant reformation from catholic church can be traced back to 16th century. Based on their teachings, in 1517 Martin Luther of Germany named his denomination as Lutheran Denomination, Henry VIII of England in 1534 named his denomination as Anglican, John Calvin of Switzerland founded Calvinism etc. and now there are many churches which are divided into macro and micro denominations. Every 38,000 plus denominations among protestants claim that they are truly bible based and each denomination claims correct interpretation and more correct than other denominations and they cannot agree with other denominations. Even after 1000s of years we still have one Holy catholic and Apostolic church....

Preachers Beg money in the Name of God and to support Ministry!

By Shaila Touchton Jesus didn't beg for money or demand that people to support Him financially. When Jesus commissioned his disciples to go into the world and make disciples he never sent them to go make wealth on the side by asking support from the disciples or people they preach. Jesus never said promote the gospel by tricks. All he said Go ye and Preach the Gospel without expecting material profit. True preaching of Gospel don’t need marketing strategies, advertisement of men, it is simply preaching with Gods power unto salvation and conviction. Pastors/Preachers often live a wealthier lifestyle than their congregation. These Pastors have rich life styles having big mansions and properties, Armani suits, and luxury cars, luxurious vacation trips etc. and some even have Jets to fly wherever they want . I am not against tithing if any wants to give. I'm simply saying that most of the money given to ministries today is not used wisely or honestly. Most of the church Ministr...

Most of Vacation Bible Schools are not Christ centered but Man centered.

As the summer vacation starts many churches have come up with various vacation programs which they call it as vacation bible school filled with pragmatic, man-centered, entertainment-style programs designed to lure kids and teens into church, baiting the hook with promises of fun and excitement with spectacular worldly events like hip-hop and rock music, cool and fun entertainment, craft time, snack time, or game time and with bunch of unbiblical programs. These people act in entertainment-driven, just like the secular world. Most people today are woefully deceived, following their own self-made concept of God to reach others. Some Pharisaical, legalists who erroneously believe that entertainment is very much required to attract children’s and others in order to learn about God and salvation. They are the wolves in sheep's clothing justifying the wholly destructive nature of VBS.In Jesus days, Jesus nor did his disciples not organize worldly entertainment to draw people. Sin, sal...
